The Associate of Science (AS) in Healthcare Administration combines general education, healthcare administration and management, and elective courses, offering a solid foundation for a faith-based liberal arts education with healthcare administration foundation courses. These foundational courses include healthcare terminology, healthcare delivery systems, role of spirituality and ethics in healthcare, and healthcare human resources. This degree also provides students with the general education and foundational requirements necessary to complete a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. The AS requires a total of 60 credit hours for graduation, which includes 30 credit hours of general education, 15 credit hours of Healthcare major core, and 15 hours of elective credit. Prior college, military, and technical credits can be used toward the AS degree. Students may transfer in a maximum of 45 credit hours (75% of the AS degree requirements). Students may take a maximum of 15 credit hours of 300 and 400 level courses in the AS degree program.
