The Biblical Studies major is designed to prepare students to understand the major theological themes in the Bible which include creation, sin, reconciliation, and hope. Understanding and application of the Bible are fostered through historical and contextual exploration of Scripture. The program seeks to prepare students to interpret the Bible for themselves and for others. The goal for Biblical Studies majors is NOT to master the Bible, but rather to be mastered by the Bible and to be servants of God to those with whom they come in contact. This major provides a foundation for seminary, various ministry and missions positions, social service, or for personal spiritual development.

B.A. to M.A. dual degree options in Biblical Studies or Theological Studies are available for this major. Please see the 'Program Requirements' tab for more information and for the graduate-level course options.
