Course Description

This course focuses on the explicitly Christian character of Western Civilization, and how the cultural, intellectual, and spiritual achievements of the West gave birth to the modern world. This course focuses on the history of its foundational civilizations: ancient Israel, Greece, and Rome. Emphasis is also placed on the development of Western Europe through the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation. Notes: This course is designated as a CCU core course. Limited transfer credit is accepted.
