The role of assessment and evaluation in critical thinking development and the instructional decision-making process is explored, with an emphasis on practical application to student learning outcomes, and increasing achievement for students from diverse backgrounds. Performance-based assessment, assessment procedures, protocols, and other assessment practices will be analyzed.
