Secondary Education Licensure Program graduates earn the following degrees: B.A. in English; B.A. in History; B.S. in Mathematics; or B.S. in General Science. Secondary Education encompasses both the middle school and high school levels. Acceptable majors are English, General Science, Mathematics, or History (students who major in History receive their licensure in Social Studies). Most secondary education licensure programs range from 129 to 130 credits and with careful planning and commitment can be accomplished in four years.
The Secondary Education Mathematics Licensure Program requires a major in Mathematics and completion of the following 129 credit hours:
General Education Core (50 credit hours)
Mathematics Major Core (37 credit hours)
Secondary Education Professional Core (42 credit hours)
Mathematics Major with Secondary Education
Colorado Christian University has formed a relationship with the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) that enables those CCU mathematics students who have a 26 ACT or 560 SAT mathematics score to participate in selected CSM courses in order to complete the Bachelor of Science major in mathematics.
