The Associate of Science in Cyber Security equips students with the required technical skills and provides an introduction to security principles following the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) standardized path. CCU’s Associate of Science in Cyber Security degree program teaches students to implement best practices using technical writing to explain architectural issues and access control for protecting information system assets. Further program areas pull from computer science (CSC), computer information technology (CIT), and information systems management (ISM). As a foundation for the curriculum, students study networking, computation, and computer science to develop a strong framework in mathematics, applied programming, and software security development. In addition to gaining foundational knowledge in the key areas of the field, the program also shows the relationship between cyber security and Christianity.
