The Australia Studies Center (ASC) offers students a semester at the Christian Heritage College, in Brisbane, Australia, where they have firsthand observation and study of Australian culture, history, religion, politics, and indigenous cultures. Students participate in experiential learning and formal instruction in business, liberal arts, Christian ministries, education, humanities, social sciences and Christian studies. Coursework in select STEM fields is also available through Queensland University of Technology.
Students will examine the many faces of Australia. Brisbane is a flourishing river city with modern districts, cafes, and a thriving arts scene. Course curriculum is centered on a foundation of faith while exploring the connections of local as well as national tradition and culture. Contact CCU’s Life Directions Center for more information.
The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), an association of more than 150 campuses around the world, offers semester and summer programs to students of its member institutions. The programs offer a unique opportunity for students to make the world their classroom, going beyond the confines of the traditional classroom. These interdisciplinary learning opportunities are available to upper-class students. For further information, contact CCU’s Life Directions Center (LDC) for CCU-specific application procedures.
