Secondary Education Licensure Program: Mathematics

Secondary Education Licensure Program graduates earn the following degrees: B.A. in English; B.A. in History; B.S. in Mathematics; or B.S. in General Science. Secondary Education encompasses both the middle school and high school levels. Acceptable majors are English, General Science, Mathematics, or History (students who major in History receive their licensure in Social Studies). Most secondary education licensure programs range from 128 to 129 credits and with careful planning and commitment can be accomplished in four years.
The Secondary Education Licensure: Mathematics major requires completion of the following 129 credit hours:
General Education Core (50 credit hours)
Mathemataics Major Core (36 credit hours)
Secondary Education Professional Core (43 credit hours)

Mathematics Major with Secondary Education
Colorado Christian University has formed a relationship with the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) that enables those CCU mathematics students who have a 26 ACT in mathematics or equivalent SAT mathematics score to participate in selected CSM courses in order to complete the Bachelor of Science major in mathematics.
