The science major provides a wide background in general science, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, mathematics, computing, the impact of science and technology, and environmental science and conservation. The major offers a professional foundation for careers in science and secondary school teaching.
The Bachelor of Science in General Science requires completion of the following 128 credits:
General Education Core (54 credit hours)
Major Core (51 credit hours)
Electives (23 credit hours)

Biblical Studies (12 credit hours)
Take the following four courses (some courses are cross-listed and only one prefix needs to be taken): Communication (12 credit hours)
Take each of the following four courses: Arts and Humanities (9 credit hours)
Take one course from each of the following three academic disciplines: Philosophy (3 credit hours)
Fine Arts (3 credit hours)
Choose one course from the following: Literature (3 credit hours)
Choose one course from the following: Social Sciences (15 credit hours)
Take each of the following five courses: Mathematics (3 credit hours)
Requirements
The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in science requires a minimum of 128 semester hours, including general education and biblical studies courses, and 40 credit hours of courses in the major. Science Major Core (51 credit hours)

Foundational Biology Courses (8 credit hours)
Choose two of the following Biology courses with accompanying labs: Elective (3 credit hours)
Choose one 300 or 400 level science course (with a BIO, CHM, or PHY prefix). |
