The Associate of Science (AS) in Human Resource Management offers foundational human resource generalist knowledge in the field of human resource management and incorporates a biblical worldview and scriptural principles into each subject area. The AS coursework is offered in evening and online formats. This program provides students the general education and foundational requirements necessary should students wish to go on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. The AS requires a total of 60 credit hours for graduation, which includes 36 credit hours of general education, 15 credit hours of human resource management courses, and 9 hours of elective credit. Prior college, military, and technical credits can be used toward the AS degree. Students may transfer in a maximum of 45 credit hours (75% of the AS degree requirements). Students may take a maximum of 15 credit hours of 300 and 400 level courses in the AS degree program.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
The Associate of Science in Human Resource Management requires completion of the following 60 credit hours:
General Education (36 hours)
Human Resource Management Major (15 hours)
Electives (9 hours)

Integrative Studies (3 credit hours)
Communications (9 credit hours)
Must include two written and one oral communication. ENG 102A ,BUS 104A , and COM 110A are required.
Humanities (6 credit hours)
Choose courses from two different disciplines. PHL 205A is required.
History, Behavioral and Social Science (6 credit hours)
BUS 101A is required. Must include one history (HIS prefix) course.
Biblical Studies (3 credit hours)
Mathematics (3 credit hours)
Natural/Physical Science (3 credit hours)
Choose one science course.
Computer Science (3 credit hours)
Only courses completed within the past 5 years will be accepted for General Education requirement.
Major Core Requirements (15 credit hours)
Elective Requirements (9 credit hours)
Complete 9 additional elective credits.
Graduation Requirements for the Associate of Science in Human Resource Management
The faculty recommends students in the AS in Human Resource Management to the Board of Trustees as candidates for graduation when they have completed the following requirements.
- Completion of 60 credit hours as specified in the course requirements listed above. (A maximum of 15 credit hours of 300/400 level courses.)
- A letter grade of D or better in all courses and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all CCU coursework.
- Meet the CCU Residency requirements .
- Formal and timely application for graduation by the date specified by the University Registrar.
- No outstanding financial obligation to the University.
