The Associate of Science in Psychology is a two year program providing an introduction to the field of psychology. This major provides a foundation for various psychology related work as well as completion of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree.
The AS requires a total of 60 credit hours for graduation, which includes 39 credit hours of general education, 18 credit hours of Psychology major coursework, and 3 semester hours of elective credit. Prior college, military, and technical credits can be used toward the AS degree. Students may transfer in a maximum of 45 credit hours (75% of the degree requirements). Students may take a maximum of 15 credit hours of 300 and 400 level courses in the AA degree program.
The 18 hours of major coursework, as well as the general education and elective credit hours, may be transferred to the Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree at Colorado Christian University.
This academic program has been updated from the 2015-2016 Academic Catalog, effective November 30, 2015. Students who began their academic program before November 30, 2015 will adhere to the requirements listed in the 2015-2016 Catalog as long as there is no break in enrollment. Students who began their academic program on November 30, 2015 through the end of the spring 2016 term are under the requirements of the 2015-2016 Addended Catalog, listed below.
