CIS 236 - Data Communications and Network Management

(3) This course focuses on the underlying principles of telecommunications and how these principles are deployed to provide efficient and secure networks for providing voice, data, and video services. Emphasis is placed on the principles, protocols, methods, and standards of telecommunications, voice and data communications concepts, networking fundamentals, system configuration, and information security strategies; and understanding how basic information systems applications utilize telecommunications services.
