NUR 472A - Population Health

(6) This theory and clinical course provides an overview of community based care and community oriented nursing. Knowledge will be acquired in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention, epidemiology, environmental health, emergency/disaster preparedness, health policy, and the care of vulnerable populations. Skills will be acquired in the areas of community assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation of population based interventions. A practicum experience in a population focused setting is required.

Prerequisites: NUR 315A; BSN Nursing Majors Only.
