MAT 110A - Math Concepts(3) This course gives students an awareness of the role mathematics plays in today’s society and how it is used to understand and solve relevant problems. Additionally, it develops a student’s numerical literacy to confidently interpret and communicate numerical information. Topics include a brief introduction to the principles of logic, numerical concepts and problem solving, algebraic concepts in the context of mathematical modeling, and statistical reasoning with an emphasis on descriptive methods.
Notes: INT 200A, INT 201A, INT 211A, or PHL 215A should be taken prior to this course.
