NUR 310A - Foundations of Professional Practice

(5) This theory, lab and clinical course focuses on the art, science and soul of nursing practice from a Christian worldview. Students are socialized into professional roles and values. Students identify concepts of person, health environment and nursing as foundational to nursing process as a framework for practice. Relationship based care, critical thinking and clinical reasoning are emphasized. The comprehensive coverage of fundamental nursing concepts, skills and competencies provide a solid foundation for more advanced areas of study in professional practice.

Prerequisites: NUR 311A , NUR 330A , NUR 331A , BSN Nursing Majors Only.
