The Elementary Education Licensure Program graduates earn a B.A. in Liberal Arts. The Liberal Arts Major is required because of its interdisciplinary character and comprehensive coverage of academic knowledge and skills required for elementary teacher candidates. The elementary licensure program is 120 credit hours and offers supervised clinical practice experiences in a wide variety of school settings. Upon program completion, the candidate has met all requirements for an institutional recommendation for an Initial Colorado Teacher License with an Endorsement in Elementary Education.
CCU Graduates of the Elementary Licensure Program earn three CCU Areas of Emphasis: Biblical Studies, Reading, and Social Studies.
