LED 205 - Cross Cultural Leadership

(3) This course examines what constitutes “effective” leadership across cultures. This includes geographic, political, ethnic, and intergenerational cultures. The underlying theme of this course is that the skills and behaviors that are perceived as effective leadership characteristics in one culture may not necessarily be those that are effective in a different culture. By exploring the ways in which specific characteristics are valued differently by different cultures, students will understand frameworks for assessing how to approach leading and following in a culture that is not their own.
